E³UDRES² - Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions

Project Description

E³UDRES² (Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions) is a European higher education alliance of small to medium-sized universities and universities of applied sciences from small to medium-sized cities or regions. The name "E³UDRES²" is derived from this regional anchoring: "Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions". The alliance aims to network rural (non-urban) regions and support their development into smart, sustainable regions. The focus is on the three research and action fields "Circular Economy", "Human Contribution to Artificial Intelligence" and "Well-being and Active Ageing".

Objectives

The E³UDRES² Alliance, a network bringing together nine universities and universities of applied sciences from all over Europe, is exemplary as an engaged and entrepreneurial European university that responds to the social, environmental, and economic challenges of the 21st century and is committed to sustainable development goals. It acts as a living laboratory for the society of the future in progressive European regions and connects research, innovation, education and service to the community.

E³UDRES² pursues the following strategic goals:

- Provide Challenge-Based Education, Mission-Oriented Research, Human

- Centred Innovation, Open and Engaging Knowledge Exchange

- Build on in-depth scientific expertise and cross-disciplinary applied skills

- Shift to a European multi-university campus

- Empowering supporting and challenging creative talents for future work

- Act as an inclusive platform for collaborative open innovation

- Think and learn entrepreneurially

- Engage and interact with regional communities
