On December 9, 2011, in an official ceremony Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (ViA) received the quality award of EU Lifelong Learning Programme „Spārni 2011” in the nomination „Erasmus Intensive Programme 2007 – 2009”.

The annual research conference of ATLAS – the prestigious international tourism and education association – opens today at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. The conference assembles participants from 29 countries. This type of conference is organized in Latvia for the first time. 

The annual research conference of ATLAS – the prestigious international tourism and education association – will be held at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera on September 21-23. This is only the second time ATLAS organizes such conference in the Eastern Europe and this time the venue is Valmiera.

13th Baltic International Summer School, organized by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, has concluded in Valmiera. 70 students from 20 different countries took part in two programmes – „Environment Awareness. Communication. Interpretation” and „Learn and Experience Baltics: Nature, Culture and Spa Tourism.”
