On the 7th of May, the Project Management Championship for university students will be held, where the best project managers will be ascertained. There are 33 teams from 7 universities applied for the participation. Project Management Championship is held by the Latvian National Project Management Association Young Crew.

On April 19, 2012 Saxion University of Applied Sciences Hospitality Business School tourism students and lecturers visited Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.

Tourism and Hospitality Management faculty lecturer Aiva Švēde and five students from the faculty participated in Erasmus Intensive Programme “Enjoy your safe meal – food safety for tourism development”. The programme was organized by Adnan Menders University (Turkey) in cooperation with partner universities from seven countries.

Gütersloh. Two IT professionals from a Latvian partner region of Gütersloh, in their last year of studies at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in Valmiera, Latvia, Karlis Karelkovs und Kristaps Noviks are now gaining international experience in Gütersloh. The two IT professionals are involved in the Erasmus Exchange program at Carl-Miele Technical College, Gütersloh, for a period of three months, from February till the end of April.
