Main research areas

Research is one of priorities at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Its strategic aim: applied research with interdisciplinary approach aiming at strengthening the quality of education in the university and integrating its results into development of Vidzeme region.

ViA is purposefully establishing itself as a research centre by attracting highly qualified academic staff, scientists and field experts. Interdisciplinary approach is inherent to ViA academic work and research.

ViA is open to world-wide co-operation in scientific research and in education for sustainable development of knowledge based society.
