Behavioural economics.

Intensive course.

 

The aim of this course is to introduce different internet use practices by young people with emphasis on possible social media opportunities and risks.

During the course students will acquire knowledge of the main new media theories and empirical studies in the field. They will be able to apply this knowledge to shape their own online behaviour. During the course students will gain an ability to critically analyse one’s Internet usage practices as well as understand its opportunities and risks.

  • Is there such a thing as a “digital generation”?
  • Generations and inter-generational relations in social media.
  • Imaginary audience in social media.
  • Self-presentation on social networking sites.
  • Social media: a tool in the fight for democracy or a surveillance mechanism?
