Students and Lecturer form ViA participate in ERASMUS intensive programme in Estonia
From August 3 to 14 students and lecturer Ilze Grīnfelde from Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management participate in ERASMUS Intensive Program (IP) "Sustainable Rural Tourism" in Kuressaare College of Tallinn Technical University.
During Two weeks students will have a possibility to participate in lectures and practical workshops that will be given by lecturers from different countries. During the IP students will also participate in groupworks and discussions on such topics as tourism in national parks and nature reserves, sustainable visitor management, rural tourism marketing, tourism, society and innovation, geological heritage as part of eco and rural tourism.
Lecturer Ilze Grīnfelde will contribute to the programme by giving an insight about active recreation and experience tourism in rural areas.
Universities from France, UK, Finland, Estonia and Latvia participate in the intensive programme "Sustainable Rural Tourism". Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences participates in this project as a partner.
ERASMUS Intensive Program (IP) is a short study programme that brings together students and lecturers from different universities. It aims at providing efficient and multinational teaching of specialist topics, enables students and teachers to work together in multinational groups and so benefit from special learning and teaching conditions not available in a single institution, and allows members of the teaching staff to exchange views on teaching content and new curricula approaches.
