News created - 30.01.2017

I am happy to share that we (NITHM-National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Hyderabad, India) had a privilege to have an interactive session on "Perception and Experience of Latvian Tourists in India" by Mrs. Baiba Kalinina an independent tour manager and the Alumni of Vidzemes University, Latvia.

Mrs. Baiba has interacted with both the Master and Bachelor students of MBA & BBA. Mrs. Baiba shared the perceptions and experiences of the Latvian tourist in India. She mainly spoke on her experiences as a tour manager and also as an independent traveler in India. Later she answered the questions, asked by the students on the issues and challenges of organizing the tours in India, etc.

Mrs. Baiba met the Director of NITHM, Dr S Chinnam Reddy and the other faculties of NITHM. She was very happy to visit NITHM and also to share her experience with the students.

This interactive session was organised by Mr. Lokesh, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Mahender Reddy, Assistant Professor in Tourism at NITHM, who is a fellow of Erasmus+ Faculty Mobility Program at Vidzemes Augstskola University of Applied Sciences for in a guest lecture series addressing the graduate and master students in the University. Mrs. Baiba has met Mr. Reddy in Valmiera at the Vidzeme University during the lecture series.

We hope that these kind of programs will help in strengthening the cooperation between Vidzemes University, Latvia and NITHM, India. We would like to thank Mrs. Baiba, Mrs. Agita and Vidzemes University for the opportunity.
